Red Devil Vortex
Red Devil Vortex is a sonic doorway created in the shadows of Hollywood, CA, a doorway that allows you to step out of the ordinary world and travel through the infinite possibilities of its music, rooted in the darkest side of the human heart, reaching the brightest side of the soul, for there can’t be one without the other.
Red Devil Vortex’ members came from different walks of life until their paths crossed in Los Angeles. Gabriel Connor (Lead vocals / Bass), Luis Kalil (Guitars) and Eduardo Baldo (Drums) create an out of this world energy when performing together, described as an “explosive wall of sound” by those who’ve witnessed them live. Their sound is chaotic, melodic, dark, and heavy. The lyrics flirt with apocalyptic visions, mysticism, and carnal desires, but if you listen closely, you might just hear the deep message behind it all. It carries the stories of dreamers, sinners, warriors, and survivors. The villains and kings of this world who dare to face everything and never give up on what they believe in.
The group’s first EP, “Something Has To Die”, was released in May of 2018, hitting the US Billboard charts at No #16 (Heatseekers Chart) and No #49 (Independent Albums Chart) followed by “Dark Secrets” (EP – 2022), which features their highly acclaimed single “Psycho”. “RDV’s In Town” (Live Album – 2022) came right after, recorded at the world famous Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, CA. In 2023, the band hit the road on a successful US Tour with Doyle (The Misfits) right before releasing “Red Devil Vortex”, their first full studio album, featuring the singles “More Luck Than Brains”, “RUN”, “Walking The Wire” and “Open The Gates”.
